Getting Started with Metability

Metability is a modular user interface (GUI) for Rochade. It provides the ideal interface for users who need to have access to and work with Rochade metadata that is organized in subject areas and subject area hierarchies.

Metability is a solution-oriented product and you can, therefore, extend and adapt it to the special requirements of any business environment.

Following are some of the tasks that you might want to try first:

  • Starting Metability.
  • Getting oriented in Metability and getting to know its Navigation and Editor frames.
  • Learning to navigate and browse Rochade repositories at the various levels.
  • Learning to work with repository contents, for example, creating, copying, renaming, deleting, running reports and queries.
Note: Creating repository content in a Metability view does not automatically update the other open views, because it is impossible to determine if the new content belongs in these views without re-running the respective queries. All other edit operations do update the other open views.
